Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP) is the most stable and preferred ascorbyl ester. This lipophilic molecule is easily absorbed into the skin, and the rate-limiting step for absorption is its release from the vehicle, and not the rate of diffusion across the stratum corneum as one might suppose. MAP has a hydrating effect on the skin and decreases transepidermal water loss. It is also a free radical scavenger that is photoprotective and increases collagen production under laboratory test conditions.[1,3] Other useful stable esterified derivatives are:

A version control system tracks changes to filesand helps people share those changes with each other. These things can be done by emailing files to colleaguesor by using Microsoft Word and Google Docs, but version control does both more accurately and efficiently.Originally developed to support software development, over the past fifteen years it has become the cornerstoneof reproducible research.
Adding all of our existing files this way is easy, but we can accidentally add things that should never be in version control, such as files containing passwords or other sensitive information. The output of git status tells us thatwe can remove such files from the list of things to be savedusing git rm --cached;we will practice this in Exercise 6.11.2.
We always want to save programs, manuscripts, and everything else we have created by handin version control. In this project,we have also chosen to save our data filesand the results we have generated(including our plots). This is a project-specific decision:if these files are very large, for example,we may decide to save them elsewhere, while if they are easy to re-create,we may not save them at all.We will explore this issue further in Chapter 13.
The output is cryptic, even by the standards of the Unix command line, because it is actually a series of commands telling editors and other toolshow to turn the file we had into the file we have.If we break it down into pieces:
This section has demonstrated a few different ways to view differences among versions, and to work with those changes (Figure 6.5c).These commands can operate on either individual files or entire commits, and the behavior of them can sometimes differ based on your version of Git.Remember to reference documentation, and use git status and git log frequently to understand your workflow.
To stop Git from telling us about these files every time we call git status,we can create a file in the root directory of our project called .gitignore.This file can contain filenames like thesis.pdfor wildcard patterns like *.dat.Each must be on a line of its own,and Git will ignore anything that matches any of these lines. For now we only need one entry in our .gitignore file:
The staging area can hold changes from any number of filesthat you want to commit as a single snapshot. From your new bio directory, following after the previous exercise (wich leaves you with uncommitted changes to me.txt):
9.1.1.2 Upon receipt of a complaint, the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards will conduct a preliminary investigation of the allegations included in the complaint. In the absence of sufficient substantive evidence, a complaint will be dismissed. The Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards shall provide written documentation to the complainant (person who filed the complaint) that there will be no further substantive review of the allegations made in the complaint.
Disciplinary files for non-expulsion and non-academic cases, as well as files for expulsion cases, shall be maintained in accordance with the University Records Retention and Disposition Schedule Regulation and the University General Records Retention and Disposition Schedule.
2.4 Shall be responsible for all activities and/or damages resulting from its events. An RSO must exercise reasonable caution to ensure that its events, and agents acting on its behalf, do not cause damage to the property of students, University employees, other organizations, or the University; do not harm or constitute a serious danger to the personal safety of a member of the University community (students and University employees) or guests and do not obstruct or seriously impair University-run or University-authorized activities;2.5 Shall be responsible for compliance with all University policies, including, but not limited to, the use of University facilities and grounds, fleet vehicles, electronic information technology and facility reservation contracts;2.6 May not knowingly organize, sponsor, co-sponsor or in any way coordinate an event with any student organization that has been prohibited from participating in that type of event or has had its RSO status terminated. If an RSO is suspended or on probation, the RSO shall not participate in any activities which would violate the conditions of the suspension or probation;2.7 Are accountable, through their primary contact, officers and other designated representatives, to the University. When an organization's primary contact, officers, or other designated representatives make a knowingly false statement, either orally or in writing, to any University employee, committee, or agent, on a matter relating to the activities of the organization or its members, the organization shall be subject to discipline. Organizations must also submit any updated contacts to the Student Engagement and Leadership (SEAL) if/when contacts or the contact information for contacts change;2.8 An RSO shall not conduct or condone any activity expected of someone joining the RSO or to maintain full status in the RSO that humiliates, degrades, abuses, endangers, sexually violates, causes emotional and/or physical harm or requires a person to give up personal liberty regardless of the person's willingness to participate. Examples may include but are not limited to use of alcohol, servitude, taking away cell phones, not allowing class attendance, requiring apparel that would normally be considered poor taste, scavenger hunts for questionable materials, engaging in activities designed to create excessive fatigue, smearing of substances on skin or consumption of vile substances. 2ff7e9595c
