You will then be returned to the main menu. You may now reboot the modem. The new Sigma firmware should start to boot. Lots of data will flash past you on the terminal until you reach the scanning stage. At this point you may now start to enter the settings for your area. You should still be able to connect to the web. You can check which config file you are running by accessing: and look in the Connection page. Now it is important to change the modems telnet username & password to prevent unauthorized access. Reconnect to the modem via telnet using HyperTerminal (as you did before). Type in: cd \non cd msg user_name password write The settings will not be changed until you reboot your modem.
